REACH Compliance
REACH stands for the Regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.

The REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 entered into force on 1 June 2007 to streamline and improve the former legislative framework for chemicals of the European Union (EU).

The main aims of REACH are to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry. It also promotes alternative methods for the hazard assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of tests on animals.

REACH also created the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) which has a central co-ordination and implementation role in the overall process. ECHA is located in Helsinki, Finland and manages the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction processes for chemical substances to ensure consistency across the countries in which REACH applies.

Sudarshan Chemical Industries has successfully completed REACH registration of 43 colorants which are imported into EEA in quantities ≥ 1 tonne per annum with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). We are continuing with our efforts to keep our dossiers up to date including additional registration of colorants under REACH.

We are fully committed in assisting our customers in fulfilling their REACH compliances.
